The colors are back

Well, it took a while. I'm slightly less busy now and have more time. So I brought the colors back again.

They're slightly different because the files are now in CMYK for possible print ventures. But in general I'm coloring all the comics again.

I must say coloring in black and white only was good practice. It forced me to draw better and it caused me to draw faster.

Expect more improvements in the comic as I go along.

Ding! 25

june 09 2008 12:00

So last sunday I dinged 25. For those of you not into the whole roleplaying thing. Ding! means going up a level. In this case 1 year in age.

Honestly birthdays don't really do a whole lot for me. But one has to admit that 25 is a cool number. It's also like a quarter century. On to the next 25 years I guess.

It is amazing how much the world has changed in these years though. When I was a kid Internet was just a new technology that was slowly on the rise. I recall dialing into compuserve and trying to find some info on a game. Which was it's only practical use back then. I read magazines to keep up to speed with all the stuff.

These days it's all internet and social groups and letting your friends know what you've had for dinner. Damn technology moving too fast.

Now get off my lawn!

How To Make Webcomics - the book

june 05 2008 12:00

I ordered this over at PVP in february but I got it last monday. (in Scott's defense he had a lot of external factors causing backlog, no big problem)

Anyway. It's a great fun. It's all very down to earth practical information written in an entertaining way. I've already learned a lot of useful things from it (such as making my forum smaller).

I've also updated the formatting of my comic page as you may have noticed. THe panels are now slightly bigger and the file itself is more prepared for possible print ventures. Apparently I goofed up and the first 100 comics are all 8cm by 8cm. So that'll be fun if and when I decide to go to print with them.

But not to worry, I'll think of something to correct the matter. And yes this might include redrawing all of them.

Also, keep your eyes peeled. I'm changing the site design in the near future. I'll keep you posted on the progress.
